Those who seek paradise on Earth should come and see Dubrovnik.
The author of the above quote, Mr. George Bernard Shaw, was not only impressed with the mild Mediterranean climate, crystal clear sea and hospitable folk, but also by the rich history of this unique medieval city-state. Ancient Dubrovnik with its massive fortifications, elaborate palaces and picturesque port was a thriving business and cultural center for over one thousand years. Beautiful beaches and numerous historical attractions are not uncommon in this part of the world, but what Dubrovnik has to offer is not easily matched.

Our newly renovated airconditioned apartments are situated on Prijeko street, in a building which has withstood the devastating earthquake of 1667. They are next door to the prominent Sponza palace and St. Nicholas church, which is dating back to the 11th century. The nearest beach is some 400 meters away, and the old port, from which boats for the island of Lokrum leave hourly, is only 100 meters far. Dubrovnik's most prominent street Stradun (or Placa) runs parallel to Prijeko, while the main city square is located mere 50 meters away from our front door.
